If you’re traveling with a group, please respond accordingly.
This is your Travel Compass. You have ten points to allocated between the following travel motivations, using the cursors.
By holiday, one must understand ‘in order to make you happy’, to rest, to take care of yourself. Here is where you define the « comfort zone » part of your journey. It is the ‘classic’ part of the journey, in the noble sense of the term. « Give pleasure and receive pleasure, without hurting either yourself nor anyone else, that I believe, is the moral of the story » Alain Chamfort
Otherness is the search for the other or for somewhere else, in search of oneself. It is one of the major motives for, and qualities of, travel. This journey is for you a way to discover a new place, a new way of living, a different culture. It is by coming face to face with what is different to you that you learn to understand yourself better. But be careful, you will leave your comfort zone! Specifically, we will favour unusual encounters in unexpected places; meetings and shared experiences mattering more for you than comfort or the beauty of the surrounding landscape.
You want to understand the world (nature, history, geography, art, science, a civilisation). You listen, you observe, you understand. Indicate your desired field of knowledge. Perhaps we have something for you.
During your journey, you wish to indulge your passion. Passion sparks a desire. Unlike the motive of « knowledge », here there is a wish to be an actor rather than a spectator. Indicate the passion that you wish to indulge during your journey. And we will see if the destination lends itself to this.
Adventure on a journey is freedom, seeking out unexpected experiences or the unexpected. Serendipity is looking for something, finding something else and realising that what you have found is better suited to you than what you thought you were looking for. Terra seeks to reconnect with adventure, without overdoing it and providing space for the path of serendipitous travel…
Between exclusivity and off the beaten track… the search for an exclusive, exceptional or extraordinary experience, depending on the context. The motive for your journey is to experience something unique, if not transformational, and therefore naturally exceptional for the traveler, who will potentially transform it into something different.
Remaining Points : {{restant}}
To move on to the next step, you need to attribute exactly 10 points between each of these motives
Who do you want to please and why?
If the choice of destination is essential for you, the trip is obviously constructed around this destination.
But sometimes, the person with whom you are travelling is the true reason for travel.
In fact, you could probably go to the moon with them, but it wouldn’t really matter…
You will now define the characteristics of your trip: pace, budget, accompaniment, quality of accommodation, standard, level of engagement, etc.
Help us by answering these questions honestly :
Your senses enable you to absorb the outside world and are the source of your emotions.
Each of us perceives the world differently, dependent on which of our senses are most dominant. The sensory profile of a person (visual, auditory, kinesthetic) demonstrates the way in which they perceive the world. One person will focus on the view, whilst the other will worry about the noise. One person will be appreciative of the empathy of a guide who touches their fore-arm, the other will not be able to stand his loud voice. Or the opposite! This is why the larger the group, the less relevant the individual profile is. Tell us who you are!
You should assign three stars between the three proposed answers to each question.
This test is optional, so if you do not want to know your sensory profile, you can skip to the next step.
You are observant and always know where you are, you are a physiognomist/spotter. When you learn something, you need to look at it in order to understand and memorise it. You are imaginative and creative. You are appreciative of the décor surrounding you, which can also sometimes make you feel uncomfortable. You tend to get a strong impression of others at first glance, which does not always work in your favour. You pay attention to your own image and that of others. This can also work against you if you judge things too much by their appearance. You should try to temper the speed of your “at first glance” judgment by listening to your inner voice.

You live in a universe of sounds, you judge those you meet based on the sound of their voice; when you speak, you are careful with the words you use, looking for those that sound right and which correspond exactly to what you want to say. Even if you are not a musician, you love music and you can often be caught humming. You are not a physionomiste, but you can easily recognize people by the sound of their voice, especially over the telephone. You love to chat and you know how to listen, this is the main source of your intuition and your understanding. Nonetheless you should be aware that your inner voice only listens to orders, and this can sometimes lead you far away from reality.

You are sensitive to atmosphere, and you know how to be welcoming and put others at ease. You are fun lover, those who meet you find you friendly as you instinctively understand others. You are full of common sense, sometimes a little “down-to-earth”, and in order to convince you of something, one must use convincing arguments and tangible evidence. You are a loyal friend, and your feelings are solid and stable, but you are unable to trick them, if you are disappointed, it is often definitively. You freeze up easily when you sense negative impressions of you, when this happens, you need to call on your visual and auditory perception in order to take stock of the situation and adapt your behavior accordingly.
