Day 3 : Leon
Day at leisure to discover Leon and its region. We suggest you start your day with the discovery of hervideros San jacinto at the foot of Volcan Telika, then continue your road to Volcano Cerro Negro and its lunar landscapes. For the more energetic, you can go down the flanks of the volcano sledding or sandboarding. Finally, if you prefer a bit of freshness, the Pacific beaches, the Reserve Juan Venado Island and its mangroves are waiting an hour away. Day 4 : Leon
Free morning to enjoy the city of León. Then take the road to the city of Granada.We suggest you stop in Masaya National Park to observe the immense crater of the active volcano Boca del Infierno .Then stroll around the market town of Masaya, one of the largest in the country and famous for its handicrafts.You can then visit the town of Catarina, whose main activity is the development of bamboo furniture. You can also then enjoy the beautiful view of the city of Granada, the Great Lake and its islands, the Laguna de Apoyo and the Mombacho volcano. Arrival at the hotel in Granada. Day 5 : Granada
Day at leisure to explore the city of Granada, a jewel of the Spanish colonial empire in Central America. The emblem of the city is the cathedral with saffron yellow facades. The invasion of the country by mercenary William Walker in XIX century brought widespread destruction in the city, including the cathedral, which was rebuilt. Fortunately, many colonial houses remain, you can recognize them thanks to their warm colors and interior courtyards, which are essential for temperature control. Suggested activities : – Guided tour of the city – Discovery of isletas, famous volcanic small islands – Tour at Mombacho Volcano – Discover the region and Masaya, neighboring town – Tour to the local market near the central square – Day to Isla Zapatera – Tour to Masaya volcano (Night option) The 10th day you will head to Rivas and embark on the ferry to Ometepe Island, where you will spend the night. Day 6 : Ometepe Island
Free day to enjoy the many activities available on the island of Ometepe. We recommend a stroll in the footsteps of petroglyphs, mysterious footprints in stone made by the Chorotega Natives in many places of the island, they are more than 1500 years old. You can also go kayaking for half a day in the mangroves from the Istian isthmus.To swim the ideal is to go on foot, bicycle or taxi to the Ojo de agua, a natural swimming pool with transparent and thermal waters. Finally, for hiking enthusiasts, we recommend to go to the San Ramon waterfall starting on right from your hotel. Day 7 : Ometepe Island
Early in the morning, you will be back on the road to Costa Rica. Drive to Moyogalpa to embark on the ferry to Rivas. Then drive to Peñas Blancas and the Costa Rican border. Note: 1 hour boat ride Note 2: Ferry to pay directly (2 USD pp + 25 USD per vehicle) Note 3: Don’t forget Panama’s exit fees Once in Costa Rica, head south to Rincon de la Vieja, where you will spend the night. Rincon de la Vieja and its volcano are one of the most active geothermical areas of Costa Rica. Observe gas and smokes coming out of the volcano and enjoy the hotsprings! Note: About 2 hour drive. Pick-up time and place to be defined later on. Night at Hacienda Guachipelin.

Day 8 : Rincon de la Vieja volcano
Free time to explore the Rincon de la Vieja area as you feel.
This massive volcano, with its nine craters is absolutely stunning. Capucins, shouting monkeys, spider monkeys, ant-eaters, sloths and more than 300 bird species can be encountered there.
The park was founded in 1973 and shelters a great concentration of orchideas, including the local flower, the Guaria morada (Guaranthia Skinneri).
Note: The Rincon de la Vieja National Park is closed on Mondays.

Day 10 : Arenal Volcano
Drive from Arenal to Sarapiqui .
Approximate driving time : 2 hours. Night at Selva Verde Lodge.

Day 11 : Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui
Drive from Sarapiqui to Guapiles .
Departure to reach Guapiles , a small village which is the entrance to the North caribeean .
Approximate driving time : 1.5 hour. In the morning, meet the lodge’s staff in Guapiles where you’re picked up. ! In La Pavona or Caño Blanco, board on a motorized boat admiring the tropical fauna and flora until on your way to the lodge.
In the afternoon, you may visit the caribbean village of Tortuguero and the small turtle museum.
Note: 1hr by car and about 1h30 navigating.

Day 12 : Tortuguero National Park
In the morning, free time to explore of the lodge trails and Mawamba park.
In the afternoon, cruise the Tortuguero canal by boat . This Costarican Amazona is full of water canals and lagoons weaving in the middle of an impressive jungle. Cruise through this exclusive and outstanding water channels and swamps at the heart of the jungle. With the help of your guide , try and spot crocodiles, caimans, toucans, turtles, monkeys, parrots, sloths, iguanas, multicolored birds…

Day 13 : Guapiles
Drive from Guapiles to San José .
You will cross the luxuriant Braulio Carrillo Park covered by a thick tropical rainforest with torrential rains before reaching San José .
Approximate driving time : 2 hours. In the morning, leave the lodge by boat and arrive at La Pavona.
Then drive to the restaurant at Guapiles where you have lunch . Night at Posada Canal Grande Hotel.

Day 14 : San José
Private transfer to the international airport 3 hours prior to your return flight. Included international flight to Panama City.
Note 1: Approximately 1 hour flight, take into account +1 hour of time change on arrival.

COMMERCIAL NOTE TO REMOVE: FLIGHT NOT OPERATED SATURDAY Private transfer from the Albrook airport to your hotel. Your driver will pick you up at your hotel for a city tour of Panama City. Services of an English-speaking private guide and its expenses (meals, transportation, activities, etc…) First stop of the day is in Panama La Vieja , first capital of the country before it was destroyed by the famous pirate Henry Morgan.
Then, we will head to the must-see Panama Canal and the Miraflores Locks . The visitor center offers a view on transiting vessels of all sorts (container ships, cruise ships, or yachts). It explains the history of the Canal and how the locks work.
End the day with a tour in Casco Antiguo . This bohemian center of Panama City will make you travel in time and immerse yourself into the the historical past of the country. Take a walk in the narrow streets bordered with colorful buildings leading to the Plaza de Francia. Discover the Art-Deco architecture, the cathedral and visit the Panama Canal Museum.
Note 1: the Canal Museum and Panama La Vieja are closed on Mondays.

Private transfer from your hotel to Albrook Airport. Hop on a flight to Playon Chico.

– explore the corals while snorkeling,
